Parish Tithe

A tithe in the amount of $400 has been given to the Dominican sisters of West Hartford, CT to help purchase medical supplies for their mission.

Summer Schedule

Many of our people are away on vacation and others are enjoying a slower pace during these beautiful weeks of summer.

There are lots of summer youth programs underway at the parish. Last Sunday at the 11:30 AM Mass we blessed and commissioned twenty-eight teenagers and six adults who are participating in our Young Neighbors In Action adventure! About half of them left right after that Mass for a retreat house and will spend the week working in the Worcester area trying to improve the lives of others. Another 14 will leave this Sunday, July 20 for a week of building houses in York, PA.

We will welcome both groups home next Sunday, July 27 at the 10:00 AM Mass. Try to attend the welcome home Mass and bring the children. Our teens provide awesome Catholic example for all to follow!

Attention: High School Grads and all College Students

We are hosting a special Mass on Sunday night, August 10 at 5:00 PM for all college students. What better way is there to prepare your departure than coming together with your friends to seek God’s blessing. They’ll be a cookout after Mass with plenty of food!

Check this bulletin for other important Youth Ministry News.

St. Rose is working hard to offer meaningful spiritual experiences for all ages and we encourage you to take advantage of an activity that will be of benefit to you.

Use the summer to grow closer to God.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

We had a fantastic week at VBS learning about Jesus’ power. The themes for the week were being thankful, helping others, being brave, living forever, and telling others about God. This year we had 37 children who participated and 32 volunteers who helped to make our week-long program a huge success. Our Thanks to All!

Give our Advertisers a Break

Get into the habit of looking through the ads on the back page of the bulletin. It is really surprising how many items are listed which you use in the course of daily living.

You have to buy and use these services someplace, so why not give these neighbors a chance to serve your needs? They help our parish, so why not give them a hand? It is through the generosity of these merchants that we are able to place these well printed and attractive copies of our parish bulletin in your hands each Sunday.

And thanks to these advertisers, you get your bulletin without any cost to the parish. Drop in on these merchants and tell them how grateful we all are for their support.
